Master Drummer, Denny Seiwell, best known for his work as founding member, along side Paul McCartney, of the post Beatles band, Wings, quickly became a legend in the Jazz genre. After years of touring, studio work and gigging with some of Rock, Pop, Funk and Jazz’s most elite acts, such as James Brown, Art Garfunkel, John Denver, Joe Cocker, Billy Joel, Donovan and others, Denny was led to work with the London Symphony Orchestra in the groundbreaking version of The Who Rock Opera, Tommy.  He is a one-of-a-kind of drummer who’s works can be heard on the Oscar-nominated “Live and Let Die” masterpiece written by Paul and Linda McCartney and featured as the main theme song in the 1973 epic James Bond film, Live and Let Die.  His sound, stamped into many Hollywood scores and Blockbuster films including Waterworld and the Emilio Estevez written and directed bioepic “Bobby” about the life of Robert F. Kennedy, create the backbeat to his many solo works.  As Musical Director and actor in the film, he worked along side fine actors such as: Anthony Hopkins, Demi Moore, Sharon Stone, Harry Belafonte, Laurence Fishburne and others.
At this stage in his career, Denny is qualified to perform anywhere in the world; however, roads have led him to a recognizable detour, realigning him with two powerhouses in the Jazz genre.  Joe Bagg, who has been called “A masterful organist” by the Los Angeles Times and John Chiodini best know for his guitar work on Natalie Cole’s “Unforgettable” Tour, complete the Denny Seiwell Trio.  After having performed in NY City’s renown, Iridium Jazz Club and locking a special Jazz Event in Washington D.C., the trio has picked up where they left off after their critically acclaimed album Reckless Abandon.  They look forward to bringing their new music to fans which will include 12 songs with a detour to Paul and Linda’s tour de force, “Live and Let Die”, giving it a preeminent Jazz spin that only the most skilled of players can pull off.  This will make up the forthcoming album, Boomerang, that is sure to shake up the Grammy’s Best Jazz Album field, when released later this year by Quarto Valley Records.  Stay vigilant and look out for the Denny Seiwell Trio as they carve their path to Jazz royalty.
